Buckwheat extract is produced from the seeds, hulls, or aerial parts of Fagopyrum esculentum through aqueous-ethanol extraction. It is an excellent source of rutin (vitamin P), quercetin, and other flavonoids that support vascular health.
Buckwheat is also rich in D-chiro-inositol, a compound involved in insulin signaling. The extract demonstrates antioxidant, capillary-strengthening, and blood pressure-regulating properties. Commercially, buckwheat extract is applied in cardiovascular supplements, functional foods, and natural vascular health formulations.
