Sea Buckthorn Extract is produced from the berries and/or seeds of Hippophae rhamnoides, a thorny shrub native to Europe and Asia.
The berries contain exceptionally high levels of vitamin C (up to 15× orange), vitamin E, carotenoids (beta-carotene, lycopene), omega-7 (palmitoleic acid, rare in plants), omega-3/6/9 fatty acids and flavonoids. Used in functional foods, supplements, cosmetics and traditional medicine for immune support, skin health and cardiovascular benefits.
