Ascorbyl Palmitate, E304 CAS no.137-66-6, ester of Palmitic acid and Ascorbic acid, fat-soluble form of Vitamin C, white or yellowish powder. Ascorbyl Palmitate is often used as an antioxidant and color fixative to prevent natural pigments from oxidation. It is used in various food applications as an antioxidant including fatty products, instant noodles, edible lipin (oils), hydrogenated vegetable oil and breads. Also a source of Vitamin C.
