Stachyose is a plant-derived tetrasaccharide (two galactose, one glucose, one fructose) produced by water extraction and purification from Stachys tubers, soybeans or lupins.
As a resistant oligosaccharide, it passes undigested to the colon where it selectively promotes Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli growth, supports SCFA production, improves gut-barrier function and has demonstrated immune and metabolic benefits.
