Tricalcium Citrate Tetrahydrate (Ca₃(C₆H₅O₇)₂·4H₂O) contains approximately 21% elemental calcium and is one of the most commonly used calcium fortification salts.
It has good bioavailability, mild taste, and is well tolerated gastrointestinally. Used in calcium-fortified juices, plant-based milks, cereals, supplements and pharmaceutical formulations.
