Yellow Dextrin is manufactured by roasting acidified starch at 150–220 °C with longer dwell times than white dextrin.
This produces highly branched, cold-water-soluble dextrins with characteristic yellow to yellow-brown colour. It provides strong adhesive bonding, high cold-water solubility (≥95%), low-viscosity solutions at high concentration, and is widely used in industrial adhesives, confectionery and textile sizing.
