Bamboo silica extract is derived from the stems and leaves of bamboo species, primarily Bambusa vulgaris, which contain exceptionally high concentrations of natural organic silica. The extract is processed through water extraction and controlled calcination to concentrate bioavailable silicon dioxide. Bamboo is the richest known plant source of silica.
It contains up to 70% organic silicon. Silica plays a critical role in collagen synthesis, connective tissue integrity, and bone mineralization. Commercially, bamboo silica is used in beauty-from-within supplements, bone health products, and functional foods.
