Halal Collagen Casing is an artificial sausage casing manufactured from collagen derived from the skins of cattle. As a plant derived ingredients, this protein is general recognized as halal. Edible collagen casings can be used to make breakfast links, snack sticks, hotdogs, smoked and Polish sausage, Italian sausage, bratwurst, hot links, pepperoni and a multitude of ethnic sausages. Edible collagen casings are very consistent in size, durable during stuffing and smoking, easy to use, accept smoke uniformly and are available in clear or mahogany.

What is Halal collagen casings?

-Rennet (All forms should be avoided except for plant, microbial and synthetic rennet, as well as rennet obtained from Halal slaughtered animals)

-Stock (mixed species broth or meat stock)

-Tallow (non-Halal species)

-Carnivorous animals, birds of prey and certain other animals

-Foods contaminated with any of the above products.
