Betaine Anhydrous is the dehydrated form of betaine (trimethylglycine). It provides a higher active content per unit weight compared to its hydrated counterpart. It is derived primarily from sugar beet processing and is produced through controlled crystallization to remove water of hydration.
This form is preferred in formulations where moisture sensitivity is a concern or where maximum potency per dose is required. Betaine Anhydrous serves as an effective methyl donor and osmoprotectant in both human nutrition and animal feed. Its excellent stability and flowability make it well-suited for tablet, capsule, and powder-blend manufacturing.
