Acesulfame Potassium, E950, Cas no.55589-62-3, also called Acesulfame K or Acek, calorie-free artificial sweetener manufacturing process via chemical synthesis, Diketene and sulfamic acid as the main raw materials. 3% Acesulfame K solution is 200 times sweeter than sucrose, as sweet as aspartame, about 2/3 as sweet as Sodium Saccharin, and 1/3 as sweet as Sucralose. It is freely soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. It is used as a sweetener in food and beverage products.
