Applications and Uses of Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 used in Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Health & Personal care products, Agriculture/Animal Feed/Poultry. Vitamin D3 is often used to fortify fish liver oils, canned sardines, cooked salmon. It appears as a yellow or yellow brown liquid. Vitamin D3 Powder/ CWS Beadlet is derived from lanoline cholesterol. It is considered a natural source of Vitamin D3. It aids in the body’s absorption of calcium which is needed for bone density. The human body can synthesize the precursor of vitamin D3.

Vitamin D3 can be synthesized in the skin, it is also a form of vitaminD added to fortify foods. Vitamin D3 is produced industrially by the irradiation of 7-dehydrocholesterol extracted from lanolin found in sheep’s wool.
