L-Proline is an amino acid manufactured through fermentation, available as White clystals or crystalline powder. As a , L-Proline is general recognized as halal. L-Proline is an amino acid that presents itself as an odorless white crystalline powder characteristic of a sweet or bitter taste. It is water and alcohol soluble, incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, and is used as a food additive and flavoring agent. It has found application in gelatin foods and desserts, dairy products, and processed meats and vegetables.

-Tallow (non-Halal species)

-Carnivorous animals, birds of prey and certain other animals

-Foods contaminated with any of the above products.
