Natamycin 50% in glucose is a standardized blend containing 50% natamycin (pimaricin) dispersed in a glucose carrier for ease of handling and application. Natamycin is a polyene macrolide antifungal compound produced by fermentation of Streptomyces natalensis.
It works by binding to ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, disrupting membrane integrity and preventing fungal growth.
